Spotting Boards 108: Creating player boxes and multiplying them
Our women's basketball spotting board for any NCAA team, Divisions I through III, begins to take shape
After Lesson 7, all of the information that we need to build our spotting board was already in place, having been scraped from stats.ncaa.org.
Now, we begin laying that information out the way we want it presented on our board by using the formulas we’ve already learned.
Constructing our board this way means that we can have a new team’s board ready within seconds after a two step process:
Paste the URL to the team’s home page in cell A1 of the “info” tab.
Copy and paste the data from that webpage into cell A2.
And voila!
Whether you’re calling Iowa-LSU or a Division III non-conference game in mid-December, your boards are done. Now you can begin studying and scratching out notes.
